This great COFFEE ICE-CREAM is not only very easy to make, it also consists of only four ingredients (and most of them might already be in your pantry). And the best thing is you will neither need an ice-cream maker for it, nor have to stir it regularly. The mixture of cream and condensed milk keeps it very smooth, however it also makes it very sweet and so I added much more coffee than Nigella does in her original recipe (http://www.nigella.com/recipes/view/ONE-STEP-NO-CHURN-COFFEE-ICE-CREAM-5550).
1 1/4 cups heavy cream
2/3 cup sweetened condensed milk
4 tablespoons of freshly ground coffee, sifted, or, espresso powder or coffee according to taste
2 tablespoons espresso liqueur (or more)
Just mix all ingredients together and then whisk them until soft peaks appear.
Taste it and add more coffee or liqueur according to taste.
If you want to serve them in about 3 hours pour them into small molds or forms (e.g. ramekins) and then put them into the freezer. If you have more time put them in an air-tight container and leave it in the freezer over night.
After taking them out of the freezer they should directly be served.
Possible decorations include a bit of cinnamon, a piece of dark chocolate or raspberries.
A little bit of caramel sauce also goes nicely with it.
