Gracie's Bacon and Cheese Biscuits. Homemade Dog Treats

Gracie loves these cheese and bacon grease-flavored biscuits. She loves them so much that she even waits for several minutes in front of the oven while they cool off…

Baking these dog treats is simple and relatively fast. All ingredients are usually found in a normal kitchen. However, the most important thing is that you’ll know what you are feeding your dog. With all recent dog food recalls and scandals that is priceless.

Gracie’s Bacon and Cheese Biscuits

2 eggs
1 cup milk
1/2 cup water
8 tablespoons bacon grease
5 cups whole wheat flour
1 cup chopped cheese

1.) Pre-heat oven to 350˚F. Whisk eggs in a medium bowl, stir in milk and water.

2.) Add all other ingredients, except for the cheese. Knead the dough and if needed add more flour or water until it has a good consistency.

3.) Use a rolling pin and additional flour to roll out the dough. Use cookie cutters or small glasses to cut the dough. Press a small piece of cheese on top of each cookie.

4.) Bake cookies for 25-45 minutes, depending on size of cookies. Let cool off until completely cold. Keep in an air-tight metal tin or in the fridge.
